The Vision Back in Full Force
After a recap of Bron Breakker’s match with Oba Femi and the
return of Bronson Reed on Sunday Night’s Main Event, the
Vision took the ring for some promo time. Breakker took the
mic first and said that Vision was now complete and runs
WWE. The crowd chanted for Femi, but Breakker said the crowd
could chant all they want, Femi isn’t medically cleared and
Breakker is now the future of the WWE, thanks to his
brother, the Master of the Tsunami and the Tribal Thief,
Bronson Reed.
Reed took the mic, and the crowd chanted louder for Femi.
Reed doesn’t recognize Femi’s authority as “The Ruler” and
showed him as much with “tsunami after tsunami after
tsunami.” Logan Paul took the mic and insulted the crowd.
Austin Theory took the mic and tried to act like the tag
team championships meant something, and Maxxine Duprii
called the crowd “brokkies.”
Tozawa came out. Austin Theory offered to fight him, but
Tozawa was just there to bring out Otis, and suddenly we
have a match.
Otis (w/ Tozawa) v. Austin Theory (w/ the Vision)
Theory wore down Otis with a front face lock. The crowd was
behind Otis and chanted that “Logan sucks.” Otis powered out
of the face lock and went for a powerslam, but Theory slid
behind Otis and dropped to the floor to regroup. Otis
followed him out and hit him with a tackle.
After a break, Theory somersaulted right into a clothesline
from Otis, who took control. Otis went for the Worm, but
Bronson Reed jumped in and dropped an elbow for the DQ.
Match Result: Otis defeated Austin Theory by
disqualification (7:00).
After the match, Tozawa jumped in and got killed by the
Vision. Breakker murdered Otis with a spear, then Theory,
Breakker and Reed mauled Tozawa. I swear I saw this exact
thing a month ago.
As the Vision congratulated themselves on their beatdown of
two geeks, Oba Femi was shown on the screen shoving down
officals backstage who tried to tell him he wasn’t medically
cleared. Oba Femi stormed the ring and hit Reed and Breakker
with running uppercuts in opposite corners, then
clotheslined Breakker to the floor. Femi took off his shirt
to reveal the kinesio tape (which is the 2026 update to the
DDP tribute rib tape job).
Austin Theory tried to hit Femi with a chair, but Theory is
a geek so that didn’t work. Femi “pizza tossed” Theory
across the ring, then turned into a spear from Breakker.
Reed then squashed Femi with another Tsunami. The gaggle of
geeks ran in to try and help Femi, but they didn’t stop
Breakker from hitting another spear and Reed from hitting
another Tsunami.
— A video for Royce Keys, Lucien Price, and Bronco Nima
aired. They didn’t need to pixelate the blood because they
showed in black and white.
— In the back, The Usos are ready to take some vengeance on
Keys, but Jacob Fatu preaches restraint. Fatu thinks they
should “lay low and play it slow.” I’m not sure Jimmy is
100% on board with this plan.
— Becky Lynch wanted to make a deal with Stephanie Vaquer to
help her win the Women’s title tonight, but Vaquer wanted to
do everything by herself.
— Jackie Redmond interviewed comedian and Alabama native
Matt Matthews. They were interrupted by The Miz and his
purple suit. Kip Wilson was there as well. Miz did the
typical insults for the Southern fanbase. Matthews didn’t
know who Miz was, and Wilson called him toxic. Matthews
asked Miz if he was retired. Miz pulled Matthews over the
barricade and Wilson threw him into the ring. Matthews
actually took Wilson down with a tijeras, but Miz snuck up
behind Matthews to hit a Skull Crushing Finale.
Bron Breakker made his way out for the next match, just as
the show went to the break.
Rey Mysterio v. Ethan Page v. Bron Breakker in a Men’s Money
in the Bank Qualifying Match
During the break, Breakker speared Miz and Wilson on the
floor. Breakker then speared the comedian Matthews in the
ring.
I’m not sure if Rey ever wrestled Bron’s father (Rick
Steiner) in WCW, but Rey’s uncle (Rey Mysterio) did wrestle
Rick Steiner at the 1990 Starrcade in a tag team tournament.
To the match! Breakker ran through Page with a clothesline,
then Mysterio with shoulder blocks in the corner. Rey and
Page double-teamed Breakker in the corner. Breakker dumped
Page with a German suplex. Mysterio came off the top with a
rana, then sent Breakker out of the ring with a tijeras.
Rey went for a 619 on Page, but Breakker caught him and
dumped him into the ring barricade. Breakker dumped Page to
the floor with an overhead belly to belly. Breakker came off
the apron with a clothesline into Page (who was on the
table). Breakker celebrated, then Mysterio hit him with a
West Coast Pop on the table.
After a commercial, the show came back to a weird picture in
picture where the exact same video is playing in both
frames.
Breakker dumped Mysterio again, then hit Page with a Juice
Box. Breakker tried to spear both his opponents on the
floor, but both guys jumped out of the way and Breakker hit
the steel stairs.
Rey and Page squared off in the ring, and Mysterio got a
near fall with a bulldog. Rey tried a La Magistral cradle
but only got two. Page came back with a powerslam for a near
fall. Page ran into a back elbow, and Mysterio hit the 619.
Rey went to the top, but Breakker caught up to him. Page put
Mysterio on his shoulders on the top, but Breakker popped up
and hit Page with a Frankensteiner, sending both Page and
Mysterio tumbling down. Breakker then hit Mysterio with a
supercharged spear and got the pinfall.
Match Result: Bron Breakker advanced to the Men’s Money in
the Bank Ladder match by pinning Rey Mysterio in a triple
threat match that also included Ethan Page (11:52).
— LA Knight wants the winner of Penta and Roman Reigns after
the Mexico City Raw. Adam Pearce said “my word is bond,”
whatever that means. Solo Sikoa came along and wants to go
after Keys and his crew, but Knight is also preaching
restraint. Sikoa wanted to know if Knight has his back, and
Knight does, but he wants to make sure they pick the right
spot. Sikoa doesn’t know if he can wait.
— In a pre-taped video, Penta cut a promo to hype up his
title match against Roman Reigns next week. Well if the
champ isn’t working tonight, why should he?
— Another hype video for Lola Vice. On 9.14, “everybody’s
got a Vice.”
Sol Ruca v. Lyra Valkyria v. Maxxine Dupri in a Women’s
Money in the Bank Qualifying Match
According to Tessitore, the women who have won a Money in
the Bank briefcase have a 100% success rate of cashing in
for the title.
Dupri and Valkyria double-clotheslined Ruca to the floor
early. Ruca came back with a face buster on Dupri for a near
fall. She rolled to the floor to regroup, leaving Valkyria
and Ruca one-on-one.
Lyra hit a swinging neck breaker for a near fall. The
commentators tried to put over the neatly dressed Valkyria
as “disheveled.” Ruca hit Valkyria with a superkick. Dupri
hit a fisherman’s suplex on Ruca. Dupri did that stop where
she jumps off her opponents back into a leg drop, but just
kind of landed with her butt on the back of Ruca’s head.
After a commercial, Ruca had taken control. Ruca came off
the middle rope and hit both Dupri and Valkyria with a
dropkick, then stepped on Dupri when she kipped up. Dupri
caught Ruca with a sunset flip, but Ruca came back with a
superkick.
Ruca went for the Soul Snatcher, but Valkyria caught her.
Dupri then pulled Ruca out of the corner with an electric
chair and dropped back for a near fall, broken up by Lyra.
Lyra hit a spinning DDT on Ruca. Valkyria tried for a DDT on
Ruca, but Dupri grabbed Lyra and dropped her with a reverse
DDT.
Valkyria dumped Ruca and hit Dupri with the Nightwing. She
went for the cover, but Bayley returned and pulled the
referee out of the ring to break up the count. Valkyria
stood there stunned, and Ruca came out of nowhere with the
Soul Snatcher on Valkyria and got the pinfall.
Match Result: Sol Ruca qualified for the Women’s Money in
the Bank Ladder match by pinning Lyra Valkyria in a triple
threat match which also included Maxxine Dupri (11:20).
After the match, Bayley jumped Valkyria and beat her with
stiff forearms and a knee. Bayley gave Valkyria a Nightwing
on the floor. Bayley cleared off the announcer’s desk and
tried for a powerbomb on the announcer’s desk, but Valkyria
was able to get away.
— Royce Keys and his crew cut a promo from the parking lot
in the arena. Jimmy wants to go after them, but Fatu again
calls for restraint. Jimmy doesn’t like it, but Jey trusts
Fatu’s judgment.
— Joe Hendry sang a song about JD McDonagh’s massive head,
which is because JD’s dad is a Funko Pop.
Joe Hendry v. JD McDonagh (w/ Dominik Mysterio)
The song worked because the crowd chanted “Funko Pop!” at
McDonagh as he took control. Nonetheless, McDonagh took
control. He sprang over the ropes with a double stomp on
Hendry, then choked him against the ropes. Hendry missed a
discus lariat and McDonagh caught him with an elbow to the
ribs.
Hendry caught McDonagh with a fallaway slam, then kipped up.
McDonagh caught Hendry with a back elbow and a standing
headbutt.
With both guys down, Je’Von Evans came out wearing a Funko
Pop head on his… uh, head. Evans feigned stumbling around
the stage. Mysterio ran into a headbutt from Evans.
Back in the ring, Hendry hit a sit-out uranage (called the
Sound Effect) and got the pinfall.
Match Result: Hendry pinned McDonagh (3:39).
After the match, Hendry and Evans partied with the Funko Pop
head. This match could have been an email.
— Liv Morgan ran into Becky Lynch in the back, where she ran
down Becky for being selfish, reminded Becky that nobody
likes her or her husband, and that Morgan is the greatest
women’s champion of all time.
— In the back, The Vision pined for more of Paul Heyman’s
attention. Durpi put over “their boys” success tonight.
Heyman hugged the returning Bronson Reed. Bron Breakker told
Heyman the future of WWE was secure. Heyman then asked Bron
if Oba Femi was still breathing, then left.
Vision guys, I hate to break it to you, but Paul just ain’t
that into you.
Stephanie Vaquer v. Liv Morgan for the WWE Women’s World
Championship
This is Morgan’s second televised title defense in 142 days.
It looked like Vaquer was setting up for the Devil’s Kiss
early, but Morgan got out to the floor. Vaquer followed her
out of the ring and hit a crossbody off the apron.
After a commercial, Morgan has control of Vaquer with a
chinlock. Vaquer broke free with a jaw breaker. Morgan hit
Vaquer with an elbow in the corner, then followed up with a
running knee. Morgan hit a shotgun dropkick for a near fall.
Morgan delivered the Three Amigos, then did Eddie’s dance to
taunt the crowd. Morgan hit a steep up enziguri, but then
ran into a book from Vaquer.
Morgan recovered and hit Vaquer with forearms. Vaquer came
back with headbutts to drop Morgan to her knees. Morgan came
back with a lungblower. Vaquer hit a snap suplex and a
powerslam.
Vaquer ran into a boot from Morgan, but it didn’t faze her.
Vaquer took Morgan down with a Dragon Screw Leg Whip, then
gave Morgan the Devil’s Kiss.
Vaquer hit a meteora in the corner for a near fall.
Morgan escaped to the ring apron. The ref tried to check on
her knee (which she had been selling since the Dragon Screw
Leg Whip), but that was a ruse for her to get a cheap shot
on Vaquer. Morgan tried for a sunset flip powerbomb to the
floor, but Vaquer countered and drove a knee into Morgan’s
face.
Vaquer tried to clear the table. Morgan jumped her and
rammed her headfirst into the announcer’s desk. Morgan
climbed onto the table, but Vaquer tripped her. Vaquer then
gave Morgan the Devil’s Kiss into the announce table.
Morgan rolled back into the ring, and Vaquer came off the
top with a crossbody for a near fall.
The crowd chanted “This is awesome!” While Vaquer stomped on
Morgan’s face in the corner. Morgan came back and
powerbombed Vaquer out of the corner for a near fall.
Morgan and Vaquer exchanged “Boo!/Yay!” forearms. Morgan
caught Vaquer with a crucifix for a near fall. Morgan went
to the top, but Vaquer caught up to her. Vaquer superplexed
Liv, then rolled through into a SVP (package powerbomb
backbreaker) for another near fall.
Vaquer headbutted Morgan down in the corner. Morgan avoided
a meteora, and came off the middle ropes with a lung blower.
Morgan tried for a meteora, but Vaquer cut her off with a
superkick. Vaquer hit the double underhook lung blower.
Vaquer went to the top, and the Judgment Day ran in to
distract the ref and attack.
The ref saw Raquel Rodriguez trying to interfere, and did
the ejection bit (which got a pop even though she’d only
been there for like 30 seconds). Becky Lynch ran in to take
out Raquel Rodriguez. Roxanne Perez slid Morgan the belt.
Lynch chased Perez through the crowd. While the ref was
looking at that, Morgan waffled Vaquer with the belt.
Morgan then hit Oblivion to get the pinfall.
Match Result: Liv Morgan pinned Stephanie Vaquer to retain
the Women’s World Championship (17:45).
That match was pretty great. The finish was what is was and
I can’t really complain about it since everyone had to see
it coming.
— Another hype video for Big Cass. When he walks through an
airport, people ask “who’s that guy?”

The Usos Go Looking For Trouble
Tired of waiting, the Usos and Jacob Fatu went to the ring
to cut a promo. Keys may have gotten the drop on the Usos
two weeks in a row, but they won’t make it three.
While Fatu and the Uso watied in the ring, footage from the
outside the arena played on the TKO Trons. Royce Keys, Price
and Nima laid out a bunch of security. Keys had his guys
dump a bunch of gasoline inside the car. Then Keys dropped a
lighter into the car to light it on fire. I hope Jimmy or
Jey got the rental insurance on that car.
Keys, Price and Nima left the car in flames. Back in the
arena, the crowd chanted for the OTC.
I remember WCW destroying a lot of cars when they were
running out of ideas.
This show felt like it was 3 hours long but ended before
10:20 EST. The women’s title match was very good and worth a
watch.
Next week’s Raw should be a big show.
