It was a pretty bad night for NXT champions last night as
five titles on the line changed hands by the end of the
broadcast.
Zaria, the NXT Women’s North American champion was the only
one to keep her belt, but also added the WWE Speed Women’s
title to her collection in a winner-takes-all unification
triple threat match which also involved Wren Sinclair and
Kali Armstrong.
The Vanity Project, the team of Brad Baylor and Ricky
Smokes, then defeated Myles Borne and Tavion Heights to
regain the NXT Tag Team titles for the second time, ending
their opponent’s reign after just 25 days.
Kelani Jordan, who has been part of NXT since 2022, finally
won the big one, defeating Kendal Grey. Jordan is a former
TNA Knockout champion as well and halted Grey’s reign after
63 days.
The title changes continued when Jackson Drake beat Myles
Borne, who was wrestling his second match of the night, to
become the new NXT North American champion, with Vanity
Project now holding more gold.
And in the main event of the show, Grayson Waller defeated
champion Tony D’Angelo, Cruz Montana, and Zilla Fatu in a
fatal four-way match to win the NXT title. Waller spent
three years in NXT but never won a title there until last
night.
