Mercedes Mone made history last night at All In by becoming
the first person to win major titles in WWE, AEW, NJPW, and
CMLL, cementing her place as one of the greatest female
wrestlers of all time.
Her win against Willow Nightingale had a price though, a
broken nose at the beginning of the match, but the new
champion still made it to the post-show press conference
with stitches on her face and still bleeding!
Mone won the WWE Women’s title on six different occasions,
five on Raw and one on Smackdown, and also won the IWGP
Women’s title in New Japan and the CMLL Women’s title in the
Mexican promotion.
It was her second attempt at the AEW Women’s title, a title
which had evaded her despite a title-winning year last year
where she held over a dozen titles simultaneously.
Mone said that she was in AEW to make history and change the
game for women’s wrestling, and the AEW Women’s title was
another accolade.
