AEW had a total of a whopping seven title changes at All In
yesterday evening, with only two champions surviving from
nine title matches.
Persephone was the first one to win a title, defeating Maya
World to become the new AEW TBS champion during the Buy In
pre-show. Persephone is now a double champ since she’s also
the CMLL Women’s champion.
The pay-per-view kicked off with the Trios Roulette Royale
in progress and the arrival of The New Level, the team of
Austin Creed and Kofi, who teamed up with Swerve Strickland
as the wildcard entrants. The trio outlasted everyone and
won the AEW Trios titles.
The Brawling Birds followed that, beating Divine Dominion to
capture the AEW Women’s Tag Team titles. This is the first
time the all-British team of Alex Windsor and Jamie Hayter
won titles together.
Kazuchika Okada regained the AEW International title in a
three-way match including Konosuke Takeshita and reigning
champion Kyle Fletcher. This is Okada’s second reign with
the title, having previously held it for 316 days.
Darby Allin got his hands on the TNT title once again, his
third time with the championship, matching the record of
Wardlow, Sammy Guevara, and Cody Rhodes. Allin defeated
Kevin Knight who held the title for the previous 141 days.
Mercedes Mone finally got her hands on the title that evaded
her the most, the AEW Women’s title, after beating Willow
Nightingale in the co-main event of the show. This is Mone’s
first run with the championship and comes after a second
shot at the title following a loss to Toni Storm at last
year’s All In.
And last and certainly not least, Will Ospreay is now the
king of AEW after he beat Kenny Omega in the main event.
Ospreay, who had one of the best entrances at a wrestling
show ever, ended Omega’s 53-day reign as champion and
becomes the 11th different individual to hold the title.
Only Jon Moxley and the team of Cope and Cage survived their
opponents, with Moxley defeating Nigel McGuinness to retain
the AEW Continental title and Cope and Cage defeating The
Young Bucks to retain the AEW Tag Team titles.
