Ric Flair did not attend the Cauliflower Alley Club’s 60th
annual reunion in Las Vegas this past weekend due to a
health reasons.
The 16-time world champion was supposed to receive the Iron
Mike Mazurki Award – the highest honor at CAC – in person,
but instead, fellow Hall of Famers Jerry “The King” Lawler
and Jimmy Hart accepted the award on Flair’s behalf.
The Nature Boy appeared live via video and explained that he
could not be there because of a blood clot in his leg and
doctors advised against traveling long hours on a plane.
The CAC is a non-profit organization which financially
assist CAC members and non-members that made a full time
living in the wrestling industry for at least 3 years who
have fallen on difficult financial times.
Flair also made a financial donation towards the Cauliflower
Alley Club.
