MJF returned at Grand Slam: Mexico last night, a month after
he lost his AEW World title to Kenny Omega on Dynamite.
The former champion attacked Andrade El Idolo after he won a
three-way match to earn the #1 spot entry in the Casino
Gauntlet match at All In. MJF had his Triple B AEW World title
with him, similar to when CM Punk carried “his” AEW World
title in the lead up to All In, declaring himself the “real”
AEW World champion.
After taking out Andrade, MJF ran down the country of Mexico,
number one contender Will Ospreay, and current AEW World
champion Kenny Omega, and then revealed that he will be in an
upcoming match to secure the #2 entry spot in the Gauntlet
match.
