Last Monday, AEW, I AM ALS and Team Gleason today announced
a very special AEW Rebel Heart Dynamite will take place on
Wednesday, September 9 live from Akins Ford Arena in Athens,
GA. The event will air live on TBS and stream on HBO Max.
AEW Rebel Heart Dynamite will honor one of the original
members of the AEW roster, Tanea Brooks (aka Rebel), who was
diagnosed with ALS in March 2026. As part of the event,
Rebel is scheduled to make a special appearance that evening
and fans in attendance will receive a special limited-
edition Rebel trading card sheet from Upper Deck, while
supplies last.
A donation will be made from AEW Rebel Heart Dynamite to
benefit I AM ALS, the leading community movement dedicated
to ending ALS by empowering patients and caregivers to
secure billions in federal funding, improve care, treatment
access, and drive research, and Team Gleason, an
organization founded by former New Orleans Saints player
Steve Gleason that provides adventure, technology, equipment
and care services to people living with ALS and countless
others through advocacy, research, support and the goal of
ultimately bringing an end to the disease.
In addition, the event at Akins Ford Arena takes place in
the home community of the University of Georgia's
Regenerative Bioscience Center (RBC), where groundbreaking
research and the training of future scientific leaders are
helping drive the development of new therapies for ALS.

A touching moment took place last Thursday when Orange
Cassidy, Kyle O’Reilly and Roderick Strong (sitting in a
kiddie pool), took part in the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge.
Rhino was joined by Shaggy 2 Dope and Violent J of Insane
Clown Posse. The crowd joined in, the challenge was
completed, and the crowd closed it out with a “Rebel” chant.
Later that night, TNA also gave a shout out on air to Rebel,
who worked there from 2013-2016, and again in 2017-2018
before coming to AEW, and promoted the I AM ALS effort.
Even Kevin Owens gave a shout out to Rebel during the WWE
SummerSlam night two post-show, and got the crowd around the
post-show to give her one as well. Not surprising, given
that he is a class act in real life...and given that he
couldn't care less if such a act crossed tribal boundaries.
“There’s somebody called Tanea Brooks, who’s known to
wrestling fans as Rebel. She has not wrestled here, but some
things are bigger than wrestling. She’s currently battling
ALS, and the way she’s doing it is so incredible. I looked
at her and what she was going through, and the way she
powered through it, and it was truly inspirational.”
All Elite Wrestling announced last Thursday that six more
independent wrestling promotions from across the globe have
joined the MyAEW streaming service, increasing the amount of
ad-free pro wrestling content available to users from more
than a hundred countries on MyAEW.com, including the United
States, Canada and United Kingdom.
The new promotions joining MyAEW will provide a variety of
archive matches, new full-length shows and pay-per-view live
streams. These companies include: United Wrestling Network
(UWN) programming including Memphis’ Sunday Night Slam,
Hollywood’s Championship Wrestling and New York’s Gotham
Wrestling, Metroplex Wrestling (MPX) from Dallas-Fort Worth,
TX, Pro-Wrestling: EVE (EVE) from London, Revolution Pro
Wrestling (RevPro) from London, Westside Xtreme Wrestling
(wXw) from Germany, AML/ WrestleCade Entertainment from
Winston-Salem, NC
These independent wrestling companies join a growing list of
amazing wrestling promotions from around the world which are
already streaming content on MyAEW.com, including CMLL PPV
events, weekly Maple Leaf Pro Mayhem events and content from
PRODUCE, Warrior Wrestling, 1 Fall Wrestling, Create-A-Pro,
WrestlePro, Limitless Wrestling and Capital City
Championship Combat.
As of Sunday, ALL IN has distributed 35,900 tickets, with
just short of four weeks to go.
Debunking a rumor posted online, last week there was a one
day special for upper deck tickets, offered for processing
costs only. This was turned by grifters into a claim was all
the recent gains in ticket sales for ALL IN were due to
this. The fact is these tickets were only for NHS UK
workers, teachers, emergency service and social workers are
the only ones eligible for these discounts... in one section
of the bleachers. These discounts were offered by WEMBLEY
(not AEW), were offered at the other two ALL INs there, and
are offered for OTHER events, including concerts...and the
previous two ALL INs at Wembley. For those who claim
otherwise, their proof was "trust me, bro". Meanwhile,
information from the actual UK Blue Light Card website is
easily available.
It's a hot August day as you read this, but it's not too
soon for local independent wrestling promotions to think
about what efforts they can undertake to help their
communities during 2026's Holiday season. Given the
political environment, more help will be needed from every
private source possible to help the hungry, the sick, the
cold, the homeless, sexual/domestic violence victims, animal
welfare, and too many more.

together presented the Infinite Rumble June 22-23 and again
set a record for the longest wrestling match in history;
while raising $33,106 CA/23,362.54 US.
* Capital City Championship Combat will return to Ottawa, ON
at the Preston Event Center on August 14 for Fighting Back:
Wrestling with Cancer to benefit the Canadian Cancer Society
with Eddie Kingston, Ortiz, Joseph Sawyer (fka Joe Gacy).
* Midwest All-Star Wrestling returns to Mankato, MN on
August 15, benefiting Bravo Zulu Women’s House, a dedicated
sober living home for female veterans in recovery
* Relentless Pro Wrestling returns to Garden Grove, CA on
August 15, benefits Roxy Astor's "Wrestling is 4 the Dogs,"
and The Good Pawject
* 1CW Pro Wrestling returns to Harrington, DE on August 22
to benefit the HPS Foundation.
* Memphis Wrestling comes to Tupelo, MS at the Tupelo
Furniture Market on August 22 to raise money for St. Jude
Children's Research Hospital.
* Victory Pro Wrestling returns to Portland, CT on August
29, benefiting A Fight Against, raising funds and awareness
for cancer research
* GCW Charity Wrestling/Comic Con comes to Barrie, ON this
September 5, collecting canned and non-perishables for the
local food bank.

proceeds from this event will benefit Nebraska Adaptive
Sports.
* GCW Charity Wrestling comes to Shelbourne, ON this
September 27 collecting canned and non-perishables for the
local food bank.
* Crossfire Wrestling returns to St Catharines, ON on
October 3; partial proceeds will go to The Niagara Peninsula
Foundation for Children
* IWF Wrestling returns on October 3 in Nutley, NJ to
benefit the Greater Nutley Cancer Foundation
* GCW Charity Wrestling/Comic Con comes to Aurora, ON this
October 4 collecting canned and non-perishables for the
local food bank.
* GCW Charity Wrestling comes to Peterborough, ON this
October 5 collecting canned and non-perishables for the
local food bank.
* Timmy Global Health presents the 25th annual Timmy
Takedown on October 10 in Kirklin, IN. The event is run by
Dr. Chuck Dietzen (fka independent professional wrestler Dr.
Death and Dr. Doom), founder of Timmy Global Health. Timmy
Global Health works to engage volunteers for global health
for children worldwide.
* Wrestle Against Hunger returned to Tulsa, OK on October
11, distributing an average of 700 pounds of food,
including meats, canned goods, non-perishables, and assorted
foodstuffs.
