Mid-Atlantic Territory Wrestling (MATW) held the Chuck
Coates Memorial Tag Team Tournament on Saturday, August 1,
in Fishersville, Virginia. Results are below.
In a first-round match, The Canadians (Hunter Blaze and Mike
Zee) defeated The Flippin’ Problems (“The Flip” Terry
Sequoyah and “Problem Child” Preston Jeter).
In a first-round match, YKies and Steven Fuerte defeated
B.T. Windsor and Brayden Marshall.
In a first-round match, Malice and Bonecrusher Williams
defeated The Devil’s Business (AK Baine and Clay Jacobs).
In a first-round match, James Ellsworth and Rhett Titus
defeated The Uncut Gems (Luis Leon and Nick Diamond).
The Andersons, Team XLG, The Wonder Bodies and Sent 2
Slaughter received first-round byes.
In a second-round match, The Andersons (Brock Anderson and
C.W. Anderson), accompanied by Arn Anderson, defeated The
Canadians.
In a second-round match, Team XLG (G-Moniy and Gem Stone)
defeated YKies and Steven Fuerte.
In a second-round match, Malice and Bonecrusher Williams
defeated The Wonder Bodies (Brian Morris and Big Body
Lopez), accompanied by Lee Petry.
In a second-round match, Sent 2 Slaughter (Shawn Donovan and
Dan Maff) defeated James Ellsworth and Rhett Titus.
In a semifinal match, The Andersons defeated Malice and
Bonecrusher Williams.
In a semifinal match, Sent 2 Slaughter defeated Team XLG.
In the tournament final, The Andersons defeated Sent 2
Slaughter to win the Chuck Coates Memorial Tag Team
Tournament.
In a non-tournament match, MATW Heavyweight Champion Alex
Bryant defeated Xander Keys to retain the title.
