Award-Worthy Wrestling Documentary Bled Dry: The Legacy of
the Tri-State Wrestling Alliance Now Streaming Worldwide on

Ambler Theater on July 12, filmmaker Ryan Kavanagh has
officially released his latest feature-length documentary,
Bled Dry: The Legacy of the Tri-State Wrestling Alliance,
now available to stream exclusively on Kinema.
The premiere drew wrestling fans, historians, and industry
legends to celebrate the long-overdue story of the Tri-State
Wrestling Alliance (TWA), the groundbreaking Philadelphia-
area promotion widely recognized as the precursor to Extreme
Championship Wrestling (ECW). Through rare archival footage
and in-depth interviews with the wrestlers, promoters, and
personalities who lived it, Bled Dry documents how TWA
helped reshape independent professional wrestling and laid
the foundation for one of the industry's most influential
movements.
The film was written and directed by Ryan Kavanagh, whose
previous documentary, A Backyard in Delaware, chronicled the
history of Jim Kettner's East Coast Wrestling Association
(ECWA) and is currently available on Amazon Prime Video.
Building on that acclaimed project, Kavanagh once again
shines a spotlight on an important but often overlooked
chapter of professional wrestling history.
One of the most memorable moments of the premiere came from
legendary wrestling journalist and Hall of Fame personality
Bill Apter, who praised the film by calling it "the greatest
professional wrestling documentary I've ever seen." His
comments were met with enthusiastic applause from the
audience and underscored the film's impact on longtime fans
of the sport.
