Douglas Eugene Stahl, 63, of 13008 Spickler Rd., Clear
Spring, MD, passed away, Friday, July 10, 2026, at the 13008
Spickler Rd.
Born Monday, February 25, 1963, in Hagerstown, MD, he was
the son of the late Rollin Eugene Stahl and the late Linda
Anne Diffenderfer Stahl.
Doug Stahl lived a remarkable life marked by strength,
perseverance, and an unwavering commitment to those around
him. From an early age, he demonstrated extraordinary
determination, becoming a Golden Gloves boxer and winning
the Junior USA Heavyweight Championship at just 15 years
old, along with two regional Golden Gloves titles. Following
high school, he proudly served his country in the United
States Army, where he competed on the Fort Bragg boxing team
until an Airborne knee injury brought his amateur boxing
career to an end.
Never one to let adversity define him, Doug pursued
professional wrestling, training under The Wild Samoans
before achieving success in Eastern Championship Wrestling
(ECW) as Super Destroyer #2. Alongside his partner, A.J.
Petrucci, he became one-half of The Super Destroyers, the
inaugural ECW Tag Team Champions, securing his place in
professional wrestling history.
Doug's greatest achievements, however, extended far beyond
the ring. He built a successful career as a businessman,
earning the respect of colleagues, employees, and friends
through his vision, integrity, and exceptional leadership.
He believed in leading by example, mentoring others, and
approaching every challenge with determination, humility,
and purpose. His influence reached countless lives through
both his professional accomplishments and the personal
relationships he cultivated over the years. Doug was a proud
member of the National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA)
for more than a decade, reflecting his longstanding
commitment to the automotive dealership industry. He will be
remembered for his professionalism, integrity, and the
lasting impact he made on colleagues, customers, and the
dealership community.
Above all else, Doug's greatest joy was his wife, Lisa
Stahl. She was the love of his life, his best friend, his
partner, and, as he lovingly called her, his "Boo." Their
bond was built on unwavering love, loyalty, laughter, and
devotion. To Doug, Lisa was his everything, and he treasured
every moment they shared. The love they had for one another
was evident to everyone who knew them and remained the
foundation of his life.
Lastly, Doug's non-denominational Christian faith was the
cornerstone of his life, and his relationship with God
guided his decisions, strengthened his character, and gave
him enduring peace. He lived out his faith through love,
generosity, and compassion, leaving a legacy that continues
to inspire those who knew him.
Doug will be remembered not only for his athletic
accomplishments, military service, and business success, but
also for his generous heart, steadfast leadership, and deep
love for his family. His legacy of courage, hard work,
compassion, and unconditional love will continue to inspire
all who had the privilege of knowing him. Though he will be
deeply missed, the memories he created and the lives he
touched will live on forever.
He is survived by his wife, Lisa Stahl, son, Michael Douglas
Stahl, daughter, Emmalyn Jeanette Stahl, step daughters,
Amanda Nicole (Scott) Kretzer, and Brittany Jo Lauren Lady,
brothers, Gregory Eugene (Tammy) Stahl, and Bobby Eugene
(Eyvonne) Stahl, grandchildren, Landen and Addison Yates,
and Kaysen Campbell.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Roy
Diffenderfer, maternal grandmother, Thelma Diffenderfer.
Family will receive friends at the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral
Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown, MD, Tuesday,
July 14, 2026, 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm & 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm.
Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
