And it began with Mysterios, Dom and Rey arriving to work.
So did El Grande Americano. No duck though, which is sad.
But this should cheer you up:
No. 1 contender’s match for the AAA Cruiserweight
Championship: Jack Cartwheel vs. Mini Vikingo vs. Dragon Lee
The winner of this match earns a title shot at Rey Fenix at
Verano de Escándalo on July 25.
Cartwheel and Vikingo squared off until Lee grabbed
Vikingo’s ankles from the outside and cartwheel hit them
both with a tiger drop. Cartwheel went off the top towards
Lee in the ring, but Lee dodged it and gave him a superkick
for his trouble.
Lee dispatched Vikingo and kept his focus on Carwheel, tree
of woe-ing him. Unfortuately that opened him up to take a
Spanish Fly from Vikingo. Vikingo followed that up with a
meteora on Cartwheel in the corner.
Lee remained in charge and duble stomped Vikingo from the
top turnbuckle. Cartwheel and Lee took a moment to catch
their breaths then began throwing bombs in the center of the
ring. After a failed Styles Clash, Lee dumped Cartwheel to
the outside and went off the ropes, but Vikingo tripped him
up. He then flew onto Cartwheel on the outside and Lee then
dropped him over the announce table.
Cartwheel hit a Spanish fly on Lee out of nowhere back in
the ring. Cartwheel went up top and flew in a shooting star,
but Lee got out of the way and rolled through with a back
elbow. Lee hit a snap German suplex and a superkick and then
laid out Cartwheel with a Liger bomb for a two count.
Vikingo then hit a 630 splash onto Cartwheel, AFTER Lee had
laid him out with a Styles Clash. Vikingo made the cover and
won the match and the #1 Contendership.
Match Result: Mini Vikingo defeated Jack Cartwheel and
Dragon Lee
-Backstage, El Grande Americano met with GM Rey Mysterio.
Rey warned him about messing with Perros Del Mal. Rey said
that they targeted Americano because he’s the biggest dog in
the yard. Americano said that he knows the history of Perros
Del Mal but he doesn’t plan on taking a step back. Instead,
he’s going to find some friends and —
Then AAA Mega Champion Dominick Mysterio arrived,
complaining that Perros Del Mal are opportunists and he kind
of admires them. Rey thanked him for appearing tonight and
left, leaving Dom and Americano to discuss Dom vs Americano
at Triplemainia for the AAA Mega Championship.
Dom said that because they are both targets of Perros Del
Mal, they should watch each other’s backs to make sure that
the match happens. Americano kind of scoffed at the idea Dom
would watch his back and said he’ll believe it when he sees
it.
-Then Dorian Roldan and Omos were shown walking to the
backstage area, Dorian holding the AAA Latin American
Championship. Mini Vikingo stopped them and said “I guess
you picked the wrong Vikingo” BURN!!!
-After a commercial break, Roldan and Omos made it to the
ring. It was a long hallway.
Roldan grabbed a mic and said that because of the negligence
of GM Rey Mysterio, El Hijo De Vikingo will be out of action
for many, many weeks. Roldan blames the injury on Mysterio
sending Vikingo to NXT and Smackdown.
So, Roldan is going to sue Rey Mysterio for negligence and
also, regarding the Latin American Championship, he’s going
to give it to Omos. Because he can.
Roldan then challenged anyone to come to the ring and look
Omos in the eyes and tryand take it away. That challenge was
answered by GM, AAA & WWE Hall of Famer and noted giant-
killer, Rey Mysterio.
Rey sent his best to Vikingo, saying he knows what he’s
going through. But Roldan can’t give Omos the championship.
Rey asked Omos to hand over the title. Omos considered this
and he and Rey got face-to-stomach.
Rey said if he didn’t hand it over, then he will suspend
Omos indefinitely. With that, Omos shoved the title belt at
Mysterio. Rey declared the Latin American Title vacant and
said that next week he will announce how they are going to
crown a new champion.
Then he turned to Roldan and said if he wants to sue, Rey
will see him in court.
-Back from commercial break, Damian Priest threw his hat in
the ring for the vacant AAA Latin American Championship.
-The scene switched to a GM Rey Mysterio “press conference.”
He announced two matches for Verano de Escándalo:
Mini Vikingo vs Rey Fenix for the Cruiserweight Championship
and a three way Reina de Reinas Championship Match: Flammer
(c) vs La Catalina vs Lady Shani
And next week: Laredo Kid & La Hiedra vs Joaquin Wilde &
Fabu Apache in a mixed tag match with the winners going on
to face Mr Iguana and Lola Vice at Verano de Escándalo.
Rey then commented on Vikingo’s injury. He’s still bummed
about it, but they have a plan in place and it’s pretty
great. Andrea Barazte was then brought up and Rey invited
her to AAA Next week to talk.
Money Machine (Colmillo De Plata and Garra De Oro) vs Noisy
Boy and Epydemius Jr.
To wrap up the night, this unannounced tag team match was
not the squash you’d expect. Money Machine worked well as
the veteran team, but Noisy and, uh, Jr kept pace with them
and weren’t total pushovers.
Plata made a cover that was pretty lax and Oro tried to help
with a double team, but that just gave Noisy a chance to get
a hot tag to Jr who flew in and cleaned house. Noisy
meanwhile dragged Oro to the top rope and hit a headscissor
take down.
Jr then hit a corkscrew dive on Oro on the outside, while
Noisy tried to pin Plata in the ring, but only got two.
Noisy boy then spiked Oro with a Poisonrana and Jr met Plata
in the ring with a double running elbow, when who should
appear, byt Karmen Petrovic.
She sauntered to the ring as the other members of Perros Del
Mal hit the ring and took out Oro, Plata, Noisy and Jr.
Los Perros tore shirts off, stomped and kicked Jr and Noisy
out of the ring, then continued the assault on Money Machine
in the ring.
Match Result: Money machine vs Noisy Boy and Epydemius Jr.
went to a no contest.
One of the Perros grabbed a mic and called out El Grande
Americano, asking him to step outside and fix this, and if
he doesnt, the beating will continue.
That produced Americano with Los Americanos as backup. They
stomped down to the ring and the 3-on-4 brawl began. Bravo
wasn driven into the announce desk by Bronco Nima who
stacked Rayo on top of him. That left Americano taking a 3-
on-1 beating in the ring, feusing to go down until the damn
numbers game overwhelmed him.
But then! Dirty Dom Mysterio came running down to the ring
with a steel chair. He swung wildly and cleared out Perros
Del Mal. He grabbed a mic and said that he and Americano
will face any two members of Perros Del Mal in a tag team
match as the show came to a close.
